4.5 million Ukrainians without electricity after Russian strikes

Nearly 4.5 million people in Ukraine were without electricity on Thursday night due to Russian strikes against the country’s infrastructure, with President Volodymyr Zelensky denouncing an “energy terror ».
Tonight alone, about 4.5 million consumers were temporarily disconnected” in Kiev and ten other regions across the country, Zelensky said in his evening address.
The Russians “cannot defeat Ukraine on the battlefield, that’s why they are trying to break our people” by engaging in “energy terror”, he accused.
For its part, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) announced that it had detected “no signs of undeclared nuclear activities” in three locations inspected at the request of Kiev.
These findings are “clear and irrefutable evidence” of the absence of any preparation for the manufacture of a “dirty bomb” in Ukraine, accused by Moscow of making one, said Zelensky.
Ukraine also “strongly” condemned the “forced mass displacement” by the Russian military of residents of the southern region of Kherson.
They are also taking place in the vicinity of Zaporijjia and in Crimea, also in the south, as well as in the east (Lugansk and Donetsk provinces) and are accompanied by “looting by the occupiers”, denounced the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
